BIO
Louise Schwarz is a Bristol based musician who teaches and gigs around the South West. She grew up in Hong Kong and moved to the UK to complete an undergraduate degree in Popular Music and Drama. Louise studied under Caryl Thomas at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and obtained her Masters in Music Performance in 2020. She has been described as an "impressive and engaging performer" and has had the opportunity to play for HRH the Prince of Wales, as well as working with the Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra, City of Cardiff Symphony Orchestra, Insight Ensemble, Bristol Musical Theatre, and the Bristol Fantasy Orchestra. Louise is available for orchestral, chamber and solo performances as well as for tutoring, weddings and private events.

Louise is an exciting and experienced performer with a repertoire spanning many genres: from classical to contemporary, folk, jazz and popular songs. She can tailor her set to suit any occasion - whether you are planning a festival, wedding, birthday party, or corporate gig. Louise was great, she really made our ceremony different. If we asked Louise for a song she was more than happy to learn the song if she didn't know it. TUTORING
Louise Schwarz has many years of experience tutoring in piano, harp and singing. She enjoys arranging new pieces and responds to each individual's needs when planning lessons. Her students range in age from the youngest at 6 years to the over 60s. Louise has an enhanced DBS and regularly updates her Child Protection in Education Training. During the past year she has set up tutoring online so that students can continue to learn during the pandemic, and is happy to take on new online students until social distancing restrictions are lifted.
Louise is always encouraging and makes lessons fun for both my 10 [piano] and 13 [guitar] year olds, choosing music that is a mixture of contemporary and classical pieces to learn. She responds brilliantly and quickly to particular requests for certain music from my children, like Dr Who, The Cure, Nirvana, White stripes, George Ezra and The Greatest Showman - keeping learning their instruments enjoyable and cool and something they then want to share with their friends! - Ruth
Louise is a fantastic piano teacher. She is absolutely amazing with the kids. She is always well prepared and gives incisive feedback about how my daughters are playing, technically and musically.
